The Rev. Bart Day, executive director of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Office of National Mission, appeared on the Issues, Etc. radio program on Dec. 4 to discuss the formal dissolution of the Memorandum of Understanding between the LCMS and the Boy Scouts of America.
As of Dec. 1, 2015, the LCMS no longer has an official relationship with the BSA after it lifted the ban on openly gay Scout leaders on July 10, 2015.
