Former students of Rev. Dr. Norman E. Nagel, graduate professor emeritus of Systematic Theology at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, compiled Dona Gratis Donata: Essays in Honor of Norman Nagel on the Occasion of His Ninetieth Birthday.
The book was published in 2015, shortly after Nagel turned 90 on Sept. 30.
From 1968 to 1983, Nagel served as professor of theology and dean of the chapel at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind. He was a visiting professor at CSL from 1962 to 1963 and again from 1981 to 1983, when he joined the faculty.
During his seminary tenure, he served as chairman of the Department of Systematic Theology from 1986 to 1992 and from 1994 to 1995. He retired in 2006 after 22 years as a professor of Systematic Theology.
Through Nagel, his students learned of Christ and the innumerable gifts He gives. This book of scholarly essays allows others to learn from the professor as well.
The paperback book is available to purchase for $24.95.
