This summer, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in convention gave thanks for two decades of mercy work. “These efforts run the gamut,” LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison writes in his letter.
This issue of Sharing highlights two of these mercy efforts:
- How a campus ministry cares for and encourages college students in Texas; and
- How LCMS Disaster Response and other partners supported a Lutheran school in Taiwan after a July 2025 typhoon.
In addition to celebrating these mercy efforts and many others, delegates also adopted seven new resolutions on mercy to be carried out over the next triennium.
“We do not list these labors as accomplishments,” Harrison writes, “we count them as evidence that the risen Christ has used the LCMS far beyond what we deserved or could have engineered. To Him be the glory.”
