The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s triennial emphasis, Making Disciples for Life (MDFL), examines “all aspects of being a disciple of Jesus, from Baptism to death,” according to LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison.

In this month’s Life Together News Digest, Harrison discusses the recent MDFL Initial Gathering, which brought together church workers and laity from around the country to listen, learn and exchange ideas.

“It’s time for us to pull together as fellow disciples, to listen to one another … love one another … encourage one another … work together, hold hands, pray, smile and trust in the mercies of God … the Scriptures … [and] the simple truth of the confession and be who we are for this moment, making disciples for life,” he continued.
