LCMS World Relief and Human Care: Sharing newsletter — September 2021

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated nationwide Sept. 15–Oct. 15, and this issue of Sharing highlights two examples of how the church is engaged in Hispanic ministry:

  • In Del Rio, Texas, a pastor and deaconess serve an LCMS mission congregation with members from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.
  • In Latin America, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil, an LCMS partner church, recently sent eight pastors to support LCMS mission work in seven countries.

“Jesus said, ‘Whatsoever you have done to the least of these my brethren, you have done it also unto me.’ It is unbelievable what you make happen all over the world,” LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison says in this issue.

“We are in this together. We are God’s own people caring for those in need, always working in the clear name of Jesus, and always loving and connecting people to Christ and His church.”
