Showing mercy is an important part of the work of the church on earth, and this issue gives a glimpse into how this is being accomplished in two very different parts of the world:
- In Indonesia, where a WhatsApp group is connecting people in daily discussions of Lutheran theology and practice.
- In Alaska, where a deaconess is loving and serving her neighbors in both the church and the community in various ways.
“Let’s … continue to open doors and dream about possibilities and rejoice when possibilities become reality — to go, to proclaim the Good News, to have compassion and to touch the untouchable,” Harrison concludes.
