Cynthia Rutan, Northwest District Parish Nurse Representative
Cynthia Rutan has an active parish nurse ministry that includes many older adults, and she serves on the LCMS Northwest District’s Task Force on Aging. We are all familiar with the “graying of America” as well as the “graying” of many of our LCMS congregations. Rutan’s presentation will provide insights into the blessings and challenges that older adults experience, in addition to the blessings and challenges that parish nurses may experience in serving older adults. Being more informed about how to care for others also will benefit the parish nurse who is aging.
