Based on the theme “This is Love” from 1 John 4, LCMS Worship provides suggestions for liturgy, psalms, readings, hymns and collects to use during 2022 midweek Lenten services.
The following propers have been selected for use with Vespers. If Evening Prayer is used, the first hymn may be omitted. Psalm 25 is repeated each week so that the congregation may learn it well.
Hymns have been chosen that especially draw from the Lenten section and extol the love of God in Christ that engenders love in His Christians. Collects may be taken from the previous Sunday.
