RSO-Newsletter-cover-Jan-2016Dear CEOs, presidents and executive directors,

As I visit many of your organizations throughout the year, it is a tremendous blessing to witness the love and compassion of Christ in your service to those who are struggling, suffering and in need. Your commitment to living out your Lutheran identity is a blessing to those you serve.

That’s why I’m pleased to share with you this first edition of RSO News Update, a new quarterly newsletter.

In this inaugural issue, learn about “Feed My Lambs,” a Bible study written by LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison. This study explores how the people of God live lives of mercy through faith in Christ, embodying His words, “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me’” (Matt. 25:40).

With each issue, we’ll joyfully strive to make this a meaningful resource filled with your stories, programs, best practices and church resources. Through it, we hope to strengthen our life together as we carry out the work of witness and mercy in Christ, for the Church and the world.

I pray this newsletter will be a blessing to you in your service.

In His service,

Deaconess Dorothy Krans
Director, LCMS Recognized Service Organizations
