LCMS World Relief and Human Care: Sharing newsletter — July 2022

The July 2022 issue of Sharing highlights two places where Lutherans are sharing the mercy of Christ with the world:

  • Matongo Lutheran Theological College at Neema Lutheran College in western Kenya is training up the next generation of pastors, deaconesses and teachers, who will then go out to a dozen different African church bodies to share Christ and serve their neighbors.
  • The LCMS Northern Illinois District and its congregations are standing for life and caring for mothers, children and families in myriad ways in the abortion capital of the Midwest.

“It has never been more important for LCMS congregations to be involved in caring for women and children in crisis pregnancy situations,” LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison writes in his letter. “The church is a home for sinners, not perfect people. That word, ‘sinner,’ includes each one of us.”
