In this issue of So Help Me God from the LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces, combating sleeplessness through reading God’s Word, the Holy Bible, is discussed. Many reasons exist for having sleepless nights, but we are reminded in the Scriptures of God’s promises to change our hearts and minds, and, in turn, to grant us peaceful sleep.

This issue also prompts us to allow the full force and power of God’s Word to penetrate our daily lives. As the Scriptures tell us, through His death and resurrection, Jesus desires to be a part of our life – all aspects of our life. Allowing this to happen permits the power of God’s Word to work in our lives and through us into His kingdom.
