How can we improve The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s mission and ministry emphasis, Making Disciples for Life? How can we better define our mission priorities? Are these emphases and priorities helpful for giving the Synod a unified vision as we proclaim the Gospel of Christ?
The LCMS Board for National Mission and the LCMS Board for International Mission together ask that delegates to district conventions give careful consideration to these three questions.
Remember, as we take care of the business of the church in district conventions and board meetings, we support the congregations on the front lines who carry out the mission of the church: to preach Christ crucified. Though neither mission nor business are easy tasks, together, at home and abroad, we are “always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord [our] labor is not in vain” (1 Cor. 15:58).
