Prayers of the Church
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod provides prayers for congregations to use in worship services. Both responsive and ektene prayer forms are provided for most days.
Three-Year Series C — 2024–25
- Aug. 10 — Ninth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 14)
- Aug. 17 — Tenth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 15)
- Sept. 28 — Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 21)
One-Year Series — 2024–25
- Aug. 3 — Seventh Sunday after Trinity
- Aug. 10 — Eighth Sunday after Trinity
- Aug. 17 — Ninth Sunday after Trinity

Church Year
The Church Year calendar is organized into three sections: Sundays and seasons, feasts and festivals, and commemorations. The seasons of the Church Year are marked by certain liturgical colors.

Scripture readings are arranged according to the church’s calendar and are intended to be read at weekly gatherings of God’s people.
