These resources, created by LCMS Family Ministry, will assist church workers and lay leaders in hosting a workshop for families that draws on wisdom from veteran parents and provides families with worship bags to use with their young children.
- The first resource is a guide to leading a Worship Bag Workshop. The guide, which is available in color and black-and-white versions, includes resources for preparing for the workshop with discussion questions and for making congregation-specific resources for the worship bags. For the workshop itself, the first half focuses on the advice from seasoned parents and table discussion questions, and the second half brings in the children and has families decorate their new worship bags together.
- The second resource is a children’s worship journal to include in the worship bags that helps engage children in following along in worship and listening for common words or parts of the Divine Service.
