The February 2017 issue of Reaching Rural America for Christ shares insight into how to create and strengthen the Vacation Bible School (VBS) ministry in a congregation. VBS is a great way to connect children in a concrete way to the life-sustaining truth of the Gospel.

Some helpful tips for effectively reaching out to a whole community through VBS include being selective on the week to schedule it; seeking volunteers months and weeks before VBS week; sharing a list with church members of needed items that can be donated; and keeping detailed records of everything.

The newsletter also offers information about ongoing free monthly webinars and other events.
